West Ham set to announce defender deal

West Ham have offered teenager Reece Oxford a new deal to try to fend off the Premier League big guns.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic is desperate to keep 17-year-old Oxford amid serious interest from Arsenal and both Manchester United and Manchester City .

United have been scouting Oxford and watched him again this week as he starred as West Ham beat Hull to win the under-21s Cup.

But West Ham are determined not to let him slip away even though he already has two years left on his current deal.

West Ham have offered him a new long term deal which will represent a significant increase on his current terms.

Oxford caught the eye at the start of the season when he played at Arsenal on the opening day.
