Premier League club West Ham United are eyeing a move for AS Roma forward Edin Dzeko, according to latest reports.
The Hammers have been linked with a move for the former Manchester City player earlier this year. Italian publication Tuttomercatoweb.com has now claimed that the London club have identified the 30-year-old as a possible summer target.
The report adds that Dzeko’s future at the capital club is in doubt after a string of poor performances.
He signed for Roma in an initial loan move from City in last summer. His move became permanent in October and cost €15 million to the Serie A club.
Dzeko has scored eight goals and provided five assists in 28 league appearances for Roma this season. He has also managed two goals and a solitary assist in Champions League.
A couple of days ago, another Italian publication, Gazzetta Dello Sport (via talkSPORT), reported that the Bosnian striker has grown frustrated at Roma, and he wishes to leave in summer.
The report further claimed that Dzeko prefers a move back to Premier League and has already held discussions regarding his future with Roma’s sporting director Walter Sabatini.
Dzeko won two Premier League titles during his time with the Citizens and could prove to be a huge coup for the Hammers.
