Treble-winning midfielder on Mourinho’s radar. Agent of both coach and player to activate a successful move

We are all probably tired already of hearing that Jose Mourinho is the next Manchester United coach, the links have been going for how long already? However, what we can’t specifically say is what players the Portuguese will fill his midfield with when, NOT IF he arrives. One player who has linked with a Summer move to Old Trafford out of the blues is Valencia’s midfielder, Andre Gomes. Out of the blues because the Blues also want him? Not exactly. According to Super Deporte, Juventus are also interested in sealing a move as uncertainty continues to grow over Pogba’s future at Turin.

The Chelsea links emerge because of the club’s relationship with super agent, Jorge Mendes. Alongside Andre Gomes, the Portuguese also represents Mourinho and the London club are hoping to secure his services via that. But it was reported that Mendes had promised to deliver Gomes, a Mourinho favorite to the Red Devils if the former Chelsea coach is appointed as coach. Spanish journalist, Dani Moreno who appeared on Radio Esport Valencia seems sure when he claimed that the team who really are interested in Andre Gomes is Manchester.

Gomes will certainly leave Valencia at the end of the season, but his next destination can’t be ascertained at the moment. Juve? Chelsea? Man U? The Jorge Mendes, Mourinho, and Portuguese factors might just be what successfully make the Portugal international midfielder complete an Old Trafford move. Having won the local treble back home with Benfica, Gomes’ ability to win trophies could eventually rub off on Manchester United if a move works out.
