Manchester United have had excellent Portuguese players ply their trades at the Theater of Dreams in recent times, and the United-Portugal success story could continue next season. Ronaldo and Nani lit up the club with their mesmerizing skills and displays seasons ago, and AS Monaco midfielder, Bernardo Silva will surely follow in their footsteps if a move to United works out during the Summer transfer window. His excellent displays in the heart of the Ligue one side’s midfield are also why the club currently sits in 2nd place on the log.

He has appeared 27 times in the league, scoring 5 times and assisting once. In just his 2nd season at the club, he has warmed his way into the hearts, and releasing him soon will not be easy. Juventus already tried signing him during the Winter transfer window, but it fell through as they weren’t ready to meet up with his contact clause. But that doesn’t look like a problem for the Red Devils, as they are willing to pay the 16 million Pounds placed on the head of the brilliant 21-year-old dynamic player.

United sent scouts to try to get a closer feel of his talent during the last international break. His fellow countrymen, Renato Sanches, and Andre Gomes were also scouted, as United have kept tabs on the two for a while. Juventus are preparing for Pogba’s exit in case it happens, and they see Bernardo as a quality replacement. The Red Devils will have to beat the Old Lady to his signature if they want to successfully complete the transfer.
