Jurgen Klopp’s little time in England has seen Liverpool turn into a club to reckon with, and Anfield a fortress once again. Securing a spot in the finals of the Europa League after a 3 – 0 victory over Villareal, Liverpool are on course to return to the European elite competition next term if they secure a win over Sevilla. And one of the latest to praise the former Borussia Dortmund handler is Manchester United legend and ex-England international, Paul Scholes. Scholes believes Klopp’s energy and passion have rubbed off on his squad, and they are becoming a better side. As reported by The Daily Star, Scholes says of him,
“It’s very special. Just watching him being interviewed, he’s great value. He’s a happy person, a good person and his players respond to that. He looks like he loves every one of them – and they don’t half play for him.”
Currently sat on 8th position on the log, Liverpool will be hoping to move further up the log in order to secure an Europa League qualification provided Sevilla win a 3rd consecutive title in Switzerland come May 18. They face Watford and West Brom in their last 2 league games, and victories in the matches will see them move up to 6th, provided Southampton and West Ham drop points.
Liverpool will become a better side next term as Klopp will be doing business in the summer transfer window and the squad will be further strengthened. It promises to be a greater Liverpool team by then no doubt.
