Spoiler: Manchester United bound to lose battle for this 30-goal-per-season-striker to PSG

Dreams do come true, but the Red Devils’ wishes to have reckless goal-scoring machine, C.Ronaldo back in their fold wouldn’t be coming to pass this Summer. Manchester United have had the Portugal international on their target list for a return after he left over 6 seasons ago. However, as reported by France Football, CR7 is likely to head to the country’s capital to join PSG next season. The high-spending Ligue 1 champions are most likely to lose their star forward, Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the end of the season when his contract expires, and Ronaldo is seen as a worthy perfect replacement.

The 31-year-old is said to have met with the PSG board for the 5th time as talks of a move to join the club continue. With 31 league goals this season, the former Sporting Lisbon winger tops the La Liga scoring charts, 5 ahead of his closest competitor, Suarez. Despite talks that his form has waned in recent seasons, Ronaldo holds a new record of being the only player in Spain to have netted 30 goals consistently for 6 straight seasons. However, Real Madrid are willing to cash in on him while he is still of high value, and are hoping to recoup some of the fees they acquired him with by selling him to PSG.

With 539 goals in 791 games and 16 trophies, Ronaldo is nearing an end to a glorious career, and going to the French league will see him win trophies he is yet to win. After conquering Portugal, England and Spain, France remains a new ground to win, and the prospects of doing that could tempt him to ditch a United return for a more favourable move to PSG. Ronaldo had of recent claimed he would love to link up with United skipper, Wayne Rooney once again before he hangs the boot, making a return to the EPL a likely reality. But the latest developments won’t have that come true. If he leaves Real Madrid, PSG is it next!
