REVEALED: Manchester United are clear favourites to land £300,000-per-week 36goals-in-30-games goal machine

Manchester United look ready to set a record for the highest-earning EPL player ever as plans to sign PSG striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic are underway. The 34-year-old Sweden international skipper wants nothing less than £300,000 weekly wages after tax if a move to the Old Trafford is to be completed according to reports from The Telegraph. The prolific goalscoring machine has already declared that tomorrow’s game against Nantes will be his last league game in France, and he is set for a move away. A new ground must be conquered, and a return to Italy or Spain is out of his options. China, U.S.A and England are all calling, but the EPL looks a most likely destination.

Zlatan has already reportedly rejected a £1million-a-week offer from the high-spending Chinese clubs, and his agent has spoken to the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea. None wants to pay 500 per week, but United see the forward as a one-season player, hence a possibility of landing him even at that big salary is certain. It is believed he still has the abilities to command a market in England as far as endorsement, shirts and tickets sales go, and most importantly deliver the goals. A marquee signing must arrive, as Woodward has many points to prove after recent failures in the transfer windows, and Zlatan is a perfect fit. However, it is not known if the desire to win the Champions League will overshadow the big money he is demanding. The latter wouldn’t be a problem, but United can’t guarantee the former until 5pm on Sunday.
