Newcastle United eyeing moves for ‘new Kurt Zouma’ and Spurs/Arsenal target

Newcastle are interested in signing Saint-Etienne defender Mickael Nade and Nice midfielder Wylan Cyprien according to French sources.

Newcastle United have maintained a high level of consistency in luring French talents to the Premier League since time immemorial. Chief Scout Graham Carr has substantial links in Ligue 1 and is keen to lure the duo to Newcastle.

New Kurt Zouma! Who?

Sources in France claim that the Magpies have already approached 18-year old defender Mickael Nade. Newcastle is facing stiff competition from Red Bull Salzburg to acquire the services of Nade. The French wonderkid has been labelled as the ‘Next Kurt Zouma’ by media across Europe. Nade is yet to feature for St. Etienne first team and will be put to the development squad upon joining the Magpies, if the move materializes.

Hot property Nice midfielder

The Magpies are also eyeing a move for 22 year old attacking midfielder who is leading OGC Nice’s charge in Ligue 1 glory. Wylan Cyprien has scored 8 goals while assiting another 3  in 29 appearances this season. Cyprien is a target for Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton but the Magpies are the favorites to secure his signature.

It will be an interesting battle as Rafa Benitez prepares for life in the Premier League.
