No Micki, Pogba, Valencia in Starting 11? Jose Mourinho Explains Shocking Team Selection

Manchester United square up against Everton in a crucial clash that sees the return of Ibrahimovic in United lineup.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan (Micki) was left out of the starting 11 following the 0-0 stalemate against West Brom. Record summer arrival Paul Labile Pogba meanwhile returned from imjury to find a place at the United dugout.

Mou blatantly Said:

“The thinking is because I am not happy with Mkhi’s performance in the last match and Pogba was not ready to play last Saturday, is because after 48 hours he is not in the best of his game so good to have him on the bench to give one more option.”

Wayne Rooney failed to make it to the the bench as his imminent departure inches closer by the day. The Special One explained:

“Rooney yesterday had pain in both ankles, he couldn’t train and he is not available.”

Antonio Valencia at RB has been the most consistent performer for Mourinho this season. Lauded as the best RB in the world, Valencia has been provided with a breather by Mou. The Portuguese explained:

“Valencia is really, really tired. He come from Ecuador, arrive here, play 90 minutes, was a big effort for him, we need to protect him.

It at least means United have a strong bench tonight if they need it. The former Chelsea gaffer can turn to Micki, Martial and Pogba to make an impact at a later stage of the game.
