The Red Devils have identified West Ham’s wonder kid, Reece Oxford as a potential Summer swoop after sending scouts to watch him of recent. The 17-year-old caught the attention of everyone on the Match Day 1 when West Ham handed a shocking 2 – 0 defeat to Arsenal. He was voted Man of the Match in the game, and the defensive midfielder, who also doubles as a central defender has since seen his stocks rise, attracting the duo of Manchester City and Arsenal.
However, Manchester United are said to be favorites to land him as reported by The Sun. . West Ham however won’t be willing to let him go easily after making him one of the youngest highest-paid players. Oxford recently put pen to paper for a 2-year deal, and is highly-rated. He is definitely a long-term home-grown option if he is successfully signed. United are in need of a natural central back and Oxford is a great option. Having made 7 senior team appearances in the EPL this term, next season promises to be a better campaign and he is most likely to break into the first team on a permanent basis.
