Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba’s move to Manchester United might not be such an open and shut case as multiple reports might have had you believed during the last couple of weeks.
In an interview with The Times, agent of the France international, Mino Raiola, has revealed that Pogba’s transfer to United is far from done.
Raiola claimed that Juventus want to renew the 23-year-old’s contract and the player could decide to stay at the Turin club for next season.
“There is a lot of talk about Paul’s future, but maybe he will not leave Juventus,” Raiola told The Times.
“He is in no rush to leave, and Juventus do not want him to go. They want him to renew his contract.”
“Paul is not desperate to move. We are very happy at Juventus and they are a club that want to keep their star players.”
Pogba, who has a contract with the Serie A champions runs until 2019, has been strongly linked with a £100m transfer to United.
La Liga giants Real Madrid were also interested in the player, but they seemed to have dropped their interest after finding the Juventus’ valuation of their player too high.
