Massive squad shakeup is bound to happen at the Theater of Dreams next season, as the Red Devils will hope to regain their top status as an EPL heavyweight. A possible deal that could take place is a transfer that could also involve players swap between the club and Ligue 1 giants, PSG. The French side’s Brazilian defender, Marquinhos isn’t pleased with his lack of frequent playing time at the star-studded side and a move away by Summer seems to be on the books.
As per the Daily Star, PSG will be willing to let a move work out if United will involve Netherlands international, Memphis Depay in the deal. The Summer arrival hasn’t quite gotten adapted to the EPL style of play and looks out of place most of the times. As it was evident with Di Maria’s transfer from the Old Trafford to France, Depay could excel with the style of play in the less-physical and technical French league. PSG see him as a good option, and will let go of Marquinhos if the Red Devils release the former PSV winger to them.
Chelsea and Barcelona are also interested in the services of the 21-year-old, as the young defender with the current highest transfer fee for a teenager, is seen as a perfect and marquee replacement for John Terry and Javier Mascherano at the respective clubs. He is currently worth 40 million Pounds after having arrived the French capital for 23 million Pounds in 2013. The versatile Brazilian will definitely come handy to the United defence that has been ravaged by injuries all season long, and have had to do with makeshift defenders for the majority of the campaign.
