Manchester United cleared to sign World Cup winning midfielder by Summer

The Red Devils could finally get their wish of signing Germany international and Real Madrid central midfielder, Toni Kroos come to fruition by Summer. The former Bayern Munich star is a familiar name in Old Trafford as far as transfer matters go, and having failed to get him on quite a number of transfer windows, they won’t be willing to fail when another opportunity arises. And it would by the end of the season according to Spanish journalist, Guillem Balagué. Kroos is behind Modric in Real Madrid’s starting lineup, and it is understandable he wants out.

Balague confirmed this during a Question and Answer session with football fans recently, and the pundit tips United as an ideal destination for the 25-year-old. The Champions League winner isn’t pleased with playing second fiddle at the Bernabeu and is looking at continuing his career elsewhere where a regular playing time is guaranteed. His appearances this season, his 2nd at the Spanish capital have been mostly off the bench. And he risks losing his place in the star-packed German national team ahead of the Euros 2016.

Manchester United can really do with a creative midfielder in Kroos next season after a poor campaign this term. And with him mostly likely to be available for 40 million Pounds, he would be a good buy for the Red Devils. But they would definitely have to battle off competitors who will be aiming to secure his signature. One being Arsenal.
