The Red Devils looked to have gone on top of the table as far as summer signatures go. United have secured the services of 4 players already, ahead of what still promises to be a busy transfer market. Ed Woodward seems to have tasked the newly-appointed Academy head and club legend, Nicky Butt with the task of recruiting the best legs to the youth team as the club’s youth development plans continue. The Daily Star reports that the quartet signings have already been made secretly, and are set to be unveiled after the season ends. Polish young goalkeeper, Kacper Chorazka, FC Zurich striker, Nishan Burkart, Netherlands youth international forward, Tahith Chong, and Republic of Ireland’s under-16 skipper, Lee O’Connor are all set to arrive Manchester United by Summer.
In what has been a poor campaign for the 5th-placed club, the rising stars of the youth team have been the few positives of the season. The duo of Marcus Rashford and Timothy Fosu-Mensah have found their way into the first team on a regular basis, with the former a consistent player in the starting lineup. Fosu-Mensah is on the verge of earning a Netherlands national team callup after having displayed brilliant performances in his few stints. The arrival of the highly-rated 4 youngsters would see more youth faces feature in the senior team next term, and they would surely be contributors in the Red Devils’ pursuit of glory and titles.
