Liverpool set to lure World Cup winner to Anfield this Summer

The Merseysiders are hoping for a better next season after having endured the good, bad and the ugly this term, and if that is to happen, quality players must arrive Anfield by Summer in order to help strengthen the side that has only shown flashes of greatness this season. Jurgen Klopp is no doubt one of the best managers around, but he needs better players to deliver. And as it is believed by many, the German handler would definitely want one or two of his former charges with him once the opportunity presents itself. Mario Gotze is set to be the first to reunite with his former boss.

The Bayern Munich World Cup winning winger hasn’t been able to realise his full potentials since arriving the Allianz Arena from the Signal Iduna Park. Injuries and lack of frequent playing time have been causes for that, and a move away to a side where a starting shirt is guaranteed is necessary for his promising career. Liverpool are ready to bring the young star to England for around 31.5 million Pounds according to latest reports, and he is said to be Klopp’s major transfer target for the Summer transfer window.

His weekly wages of 180,000 Pounds could however threaten to hinder the move. And it is unknown if he would be ready to receive a pay cut when Champions League action isn’t yet totally guaranteed, unless the club wins the Europa. Klopp badly wants a reunion, and Liverpool might have no choice than to break the bank to make his desires come true.
