West Ham January signing, Emmanuel Emenike made a move to the Upton Park on loan from Fenerbahce, with an option to make it permanent in the summer for €10m. The player has failed to make any sort of real impact, and has failed to score in 10 league appearances, but he has scored twice in the FA Cup.
Hammers would not want to snap him on a permanent deal in the summer, and he could be heading to La Liga, according to reports in Spain. El Diario Vasco say Real Sociedad are interested in the West Ham striker, although he is not believed to be their primary transfer target.
Reports from Spain suggest that the La Liga club have other names on the list too, and Southampton’s Juanmi could be the first choice for Sociedad.
Slaven Bilic’s side won’t make any profit out of the transfer, as the player is expected to cost less than €10m if Real Sociedad show sufficient interest on taking him on board. Therefore, it’s back to his Turkish parent club and then possibly off to Spain.
