La Liga outfit slaps huge price-tag on Chelsea target

According to the Spanish media sources, Chelsea are on the verge to stop chasing for Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets, as Catalan giants set sensational price on the midfielder.

It has been reported by the Mundo Deportivo that La Liga champions set an astounding €175 million price tag on midfielder Sergio Busquets, perhaps the most important player on the entire team.

Price tag for the Spaniard is so ridiculous that even PSG and Chelsea, two of the richest clubs have decided to give up on their efforts to sign the 27-year-old. The League 1 winner were heavily linked with Sergio already, while the Blues could join the race if incoming manager Antonio Conte asked for the signing.

But it is obvious that neither team are willing to pay the required price for Busquets. They can do it, but the UEFA Financial Fair Play rules, as shady as they are, would not allow the two teams to make the move without serious repercussions. Busquets is 100% certain to stay at Camp Nou, and a contract extension is in the works for the best defensive midfielder on Earth.
