PSG goal-scoring machine, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has hinted at an EPL move as the season draws to an end. With his current contract with the Ligue 1 giants due to expire at the end of the season, the Sweden international is ready to try out new waters. Manchester United have been linked with the 34-year-old following talks that Zlatan wants to come to England. The Red Devils’ attack in recent season has lacked a lethal finisher, with LVG showing the likes of Van Persie, Chicharito, and Welbeck the exit doors over the course of his 2-season stay.
And despite their attacking problems, the Dutch handler has revealed that he wouldn’t be bringing the 34-year-old to the Theater of Dreams anytime soon. He considers him too old for his squad. He revealed that “Old age” was the reason why he let go of some 6,7 players, including RVP and Falcao as he wants younger players in his attack. Despite being 34, Ibrahimovic has been in splendid form again this season, finding the back of the net 30 times in 26 league appearances. Just 9 less than Manchester United’s 39 league goals in 31 games.
However, despite being full of praises for the former Milan forward, those statics aren’t a big deal to him, and he would rather for a young striker. Van Gaal has been of fan of youth players this season, with a handful of his starting 11 below 24. Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard, and Marcus Rashford have all been impressive in recent games and are integral parts of the squad as they aim for a top-four. With LVG still in charge, it is high time everybody stopped dreaming of seeing him don United colours. He is too “old”!!!
