Putting Sevilla to the sword at Switzerland next week has been made easier with the latest development in the Liverpool squad. As reported by the Liverpool official twitter handle, Klopp revealed in the pre-match conference ahead of the final match day game against West Brom that the injured trio of Jordan Henderson, Danny Ings, and Divock Origi are most likely to be included in the 17-man match day squad and feature in the game. With that being a great possibility, they are sure set to play in the Europa League finals next week. The Reds made it to their 2nd final this season after defeating Manchester United, Dortmund and Villareal in the elimination stages, and they would be hoping to put the Carling Cup loss to Manchester City behind them with a victory over the Europa League defending champions.
Jordan Henderson picked up a knock during the first leg against Dortmund last month, and was initially ruled out of the season. But he has since stepped up rehabilitation process and is also a contender to make the Three Lions Euros 2016 squad. Danny Ings on the other hand is yet to make his debut under the German coach, and will be counted upon to return to form in the remaining 2 games of the season. Divock Origi is also back to full form after Everton’s Runes Fures matched on his ankle in the Merseyside Derby, and it will be hoped he can continue his fine goalscoring form. The trio will no doubt boost the coach’s confidence ahead of the showdown next Wednesday, and winning it looks more realistic thus.
