Eden Hazard could miss Chelsea’s game against Crystal Palace and Manchester City on 1st and 5th April respectively.
Hazard did not travel with the Chelsea squad for an away clash against Stoke City following a training injury. Chelsea overcame the Potters through a winner by Cahill while Willian hit a beautiful opener past Grant. Antonio Conte went berserk during the celebrations as Chelsea won 2-1 while taking another step towards the Premier League title.
Eden Hazard picked up a calf complaint 24 hours prior to the Stoke clash. Reports suggest that the Belgian will be sidelined for at least a couple of weeks. The 26 year old is set to miss Belgium’s World Cup Qualifier against Greece on Saturday. He will also miss out on an International friendly against Russia on Tuesday.
Belgium boss and former Everton gaffer Roberto Martinez confirmed that his captain will be out for 10-15 days.
“It is a big disappointment for Eden that he cannot lead the team. Eden has suffered an injury before the match against Stoke. He will not play against Greece. We are going to follow the injury.” – Roberto Martinez
