Chelsea Targeting Promising African Dribbler

The latest reports from the Belgian media, claim that Premier League duo Chelsea and Leicester City are keeping tabs for Genk’s 18-year-old rising star Leon Bailey.

Highly-rated midfield ace, who represents Jamaica on Under-23s level, has wowed scouts with his performances in Belgium this season. German giants Borussia Dortmund – beaten by Liverpool in the Europa League quarter-finals – are also keen.

Last player Chelsea signed from Genk was Kevin De Bruyne. The 24-year-old Belgian star, struggled at Stamford Bridge and was sold to Wolfsburg by Jose Mourinho in 2014.

However, after wowing in the Bundesliga, the Belgian returned to England last summer in a £54million move to Manchester City.

De Bruyne has already helped the club win one trophy this season and will be aiming to reach the Champions League final at the expense of Real Madrid.

Alongside with Bailey, Chelsea are also willing to seal the transfer deals of several top-class attackers, including Atletico Madrid ace Antoine Girezmann.

The 25-year-old France international has been in sensational form for Diego Simeone’s side in 2015/16 and although Blues are staring at a season without European football, they are ready to offer the forward a lucrative deal to entice him to England.

Important goals from electric No.7 have fired Diego Simeone’s side into the semi-finals of the Champions League, whilst Atletico Madrid are also challenging for the La Liga title this season and sit level on points with Barcelona.
