Done Deal: Chelsea Signed Long-term Target from Serie A

Reports are coming in that Chelsea have agreed to a deal with Roma for the services of midfielder Radja Nainggolan. As per the Mirror, the Blues have agreed to pay €36 million to secure the anchorman, who has also accepted to sign the five-year deal that will make him the first of Conte’s reinforcement this summer.

Nainggolan, who has 18 caps for Belgium, has spent his whole senior career in Italy, first with Piacenza and then Cagliari before moving to Roma for 9 million Euros. The reported fee that will bring Nainggolan to Stamford Bridge is £28 million, giving Roma a healthy return on their investment.

The box-to-box player will be the first signing of Antonio Conte’s reign. The Londoners have also been heavily linked with Juventus centre-halfLeonardo Bonucci, who recently refused to commit his future to the newly crowned Serie A champions.
