According to the reports from Daily Star, Chelsea have been dealt a massive transfer blow over a double deal in their raid on Serie A giants Roma. The Stamford Bridge side have been heavily linked with moves for midfield duo Radja Nainggolan and Miralem Pjanic, but now, the double deal is not likely to happen.
The 28-year-old Belgian star is reportedly close to a £32m move to Stamford Bridge while new manager Antonio Conte is believed to be an admirer of £30m-rated Miralem Pjanic as well.
But as the AS Roma’s owner James Pallotta has revealed, the midfield du won’t be sold this summer.
During his interview, Pallotta spoke about the potential transfer moves: “I have already said we won’t sell Nainggolan and Pjanic. I want to see them still with a Roma jersey.”
While Pallotta does not want to let his stars go, Pjanic sparked speculation over his future at the weekend.
The 26-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina international said: “As for my future, we close the championship. I repeat, I’m fine and I have two years on my contract but in football you do not know never.”
