Chelsea Handed boost as Serie A ace hints at summer move

Calciomercato claim, that Chelsea incoming manager Antonio Conte will do his best to secure the services of Juventus striker Alvaro Morata during the upcoming transfer window.

The Spain international has impressed since his move from Real Madrid to Old Lady last season, scoring 25 goals in 88 appearances for the Italians, but with Simone Zaza and Paulo Dybala preferred up front, Morata has started just 16 of his 32 league games, and he has been linked with a move away from Turin in search of first-team football the summer.

The 23-year-old striker has now hinted he could leave Juve at the end of the season.

“Do I like this shirt [referring to the Juve jersey]? For me, what I like is scoring goals,” he told the Italian media.

“I’m fighting for Juventus as they’re my team. Will I stay? We’ll see.”

Italian champions  held on to claim a 2-1 victory at Fiorentina that almost guarantees a fifth straight Serie A title will go to Turin.

Substitute Morata had minutes earlier scored the goal that cancelled out Kalinic’s response to a fierce first-half Mario Mandzukic opener and the Spaniard pointed squarely to one teammate when identifying the key moment of the match.
