Premier League giants Chelsea have been boosted by the news that defensive duo Garry Cahill and John Terry are set to return to the squad ahead of Tottenham Hotspur clash.
Standard Sport revealed earlier this month that Terry was targeting making his comeback against Mauricio Pochettino’s side after struggling with an Achilles and hamstring problem since February.
The 35-year-old worked with the under-21s on Wednesday before joining up with the first team squad on Thursday.
Meanwhile, England international defender Gary Cahill has played only once for the Blues in the last six weeks due to injury and also a stomach bug that prevented him to appear against Bournemouth last week.
However, Hiddink has confirmed both will feature at Stamford Bridge on Monday night and said:
“I think they will be involved because they both participated in the training sessions. They’re ok to come into the first 18.
“It is good to have them back because John has been out for a long period, Gary the same. John may not be able to do the full 90, but we will see.
“We still have two training sessions to go, but I’m glad that both are back for their experience. It’s good to have them in a very tough and exciting game.”
