Bale to United this Summer? Here is why an Old Trafford move could be on the cards

Balkan Talk reports that Wales international and former Tottenham winger, Gareth Bale is stalling as per putting pen to paper for a contract extension to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu more his current deal. And that development would see Manchester United hope to finally land their long-term target. The Red Devils have had him on their hit list since he was at Tottenham, and have kept him on their watch in recent transfer windows. A Summer move was widely discussed last year after he became a subject of Real Madrid’s fans taunt due to their trophyless season.

Gareth plays a supporting role to C.Ronaldo, who is the main star at Madrid, and recent developments could see him leave by Summer. Rafa Benitez’s arrival saw the 26-year-old move to a central position role, and he was getting well along with the new role. However, Zidane’s appointment saw him return to the wings. Real Madrid are already planning for life without the Welsh as they have placed Chelsea winger and Belgium international, Eden Hazard on their radar for a Summer swoop.

Manchester City are also said to be keen in landing Bale by Summer if a move away from Madrid is certain. Pep Guardiola is interested in bringing him to the Etihad upon his arrival. In 24 games across all competitions this term, Gareth has notched 15 goals and 13 assists, a return commendable for someone playing through the wings. His transfer fees will definitely see him break the record for British transfer fees after his move to Real Madrid saw him break C.Ronaldo’s earlier record.
