Arsenal are interested in signing England youth-teamer Dominic Solanke from Chelsea in the summer.
According to the Independent, Chelsea may not have to meet the staggering £50,000-a-week demanded by teenager Dominic Solanke after reports linkedArsenal with a move for the talented forward.
While, it’s believed that Arsenal are understood to be reluctant to meet Solanke’s wage rise but would be willing to guarantee his demand for first-team opportunities, and with the club’s reputation for developing younger players into Premier League regulars, the appeal of joining the Gunners could tempt Solanke.
The 18-year-old Solanke is on a season-long loan at Eredivisie side Vitesse, for whom he has scored 7 goals in 24 appearances.
Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, is well known for nurturing talents, handing first team opportunities to Nigerian pair Chuba Akpom and Alex Iwobi in recent seasons.
Solanke is under contract with Chelsea until the summer of 2017 and negotiations on a new deal have not been fruitful.
