Arsenal set to hijack Manchester United’s move for European 42-goals-in-46-games superstar

According to the  Daily Star Arsenal are ready to offer Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic a two-year contract to seal a summer transfer to North London.

The Sweden international is out of contract in June and has been chased by a host of top sides, including bitter rivals Manchester United.

There has been the talk of the experienced hitman demanding astronomical wages, particularly if he were to move to the Chinese Super League, but the Gunners hope he will accept a two-year deal on wages of £250k-a-week.

Arsene Wenger’s man have been short of quality up front this season, with France striker Olivier Giroud and Chilean Alexis Sanchez their top scorers on 20 and 16 goals respectively.

The Daily Star believes this has led to Arsenal boss readying a move for Ibrahimovic, who has an incredible 42 goals in 46 games this term.

Despite his age, Ibra has been in the form of his life, helping French giants to another Ligue 1 title win, adding to the impressive trophy haul of his brilliant career.
